ProView uses Apple’s alias technology to find your media files. So even if you move your files around, ProView will find them.
It is best to try to keep the files together in a folder structure with the project file. ProView searches extensively to find missing files and this could cause long delays in the opening of pages.
Once ProView finds files that have been moved it will ask you to save the page. The update location will then be saved so that the page will open faster the next time.
The ProViewers work in the same manner except that they do not save the updated location. If you keep the file structure consistent when you distribute a ProViewer with external media files the search delay will be kept to a minimum.
